Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Governor Doug Ducey and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman today announced the extension of Arizona school closures through the end of the school year.

IntelliSchool will remain open in an online capacity for students through the rest of the year. Staff will be available to support students from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. Students can work online at any time, and are encouraged to contact the school to get started immediately.

We apologize for the inconvenience yesterday. Cox was working on something in the area and IntelliSchool’s Citrix server was down for a few hours. SchoolsPLP classes were still accessible, but A+LS classes were not. It was an unfortunate situation for a number of students trying to access IntelliSchool Online for the first time. Everything was up and running today, Tuesday, March 31st. Please continue to call your site if you are having any issues.

Thank you for supporting your student through these unprecedented times,

Mick McElhinney
Superintendent

Parent, Guardians, and Students,

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Governor of Arizona has extended all school closures through at least April 10th and likely longer. In order to meet the graduation goals of students, IntelliSchool has implemented online courses for all new and continuing students until it is deemed appropriate to return to campus.

IntelliSchool staff will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 8:00PM. Students can also receive face to face support through online means. All coursework completed prior to Spring Break is active and now accessible online. Students can continue to work on these classes through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. All credit towards graduation is still issued based on completion of coursework. Students are encouraged to call in for support with whatever they may need.

Sincerely,

Mick McElhinney
Superintendent

Parent, Guardians, and Students,

IntelliSchool has learned that one of its teachers tested positive for COVID-19. For confidentiality reasons, we cannot provide many details. We can tell you that we have reason to believe this teacher contracted COVID-19 after leaving for Spring Break, and would thus not have exposed the IntelliSchool community. However out of an abundance of caution we wanted to provide you with this information.

During the school closure period, IntelliSchool schools and offices have been cleaned. Families and staff should remain vigilant with handwashing, respiratory etiquette and social distancing to slow the spread of the virus and continue to follow CDC guidelines. The pandemic continues to evolve and we as a community need to support each other through this challenging time. We wish our colleague a speedy and uneventful recovery.

Sincerely,

Mick McElhinney
Superintendent
